CAMPTON ACADEMY Campton has had a significant focus on providing opportunities for our children outside of the classroom. These have included trips to the library and local woodlands, visitors to the school, and virtual lessons with the Royal Ballet and Opera. We have also ventured further afield with trips to Shuttleworth, Herrings Green Farm, the Natural History Museum in Tring, a Faith Tour in Bedford, and a theatre trip to London. These experiences were designed not only to develop cultural capital and British values but also to foster personal skills such as teamwork, resilience, curiosity, and confidence. The attached photo is from our Year 4 residential. Campton has not run a residential since 2019, so this was a major highlight for both our staff and children. The smiles on their faces say it all—they will be talking about this trip for years to come. Our team of BEST Principals were invited by Dr Alan Lee to describe their path towards our collective mission ‘to grow the BEST in everyone’, based on a single school image. It is a wonderful mix of heartwarming memories and storytelling… Framing the Mission: Heartwarming Stories Behind a Single Snapshot The way the staff have worked together to provide these experiences is a testament to their dedication to offering the best opportunities for everyone at our school. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make these opportunities possible for our children. Principal: Louise Day www.camptonacademy.org.uk 10
