We hold regular and well-attended training sessions throughout the year, covering areas such as analysing performance data and safeguarding. Supporting new governors This year, we were delighted to launch a governor mentoring programme. The key aim of the programme, which is free to join, is to support new governors by building confidence in governance roles and responsibilities, improving understanding of school strategy, finance and accountability, and encouraging effective participation in governing board meetings. The sessions provide a supportive and practical introduction to governance and help to develop the confidence and knowledge needed to make a positive contribution as a governor.
