BEST opens two more staff wellbeing gardens

Two more staff wellbeing gardens at BEST schools have been officially opened.

As part of our fifth anniversary celebrations, we have pledged to create areas within all our schools and nurseries where staff could relax.

The latest gardens have been created at Pix Brook Academy and at Langford Village Academy.

BEST Chief Executive Officer Dr Alan Lee and Chief Operating Officer Craig Smith joined each school’s Principal – Steve Adams and Debbie Randall respectively – to perform the ceremonial duties.

Dr Lee said: “The wellbeing of all really matters at BEST and compassion is one of our core values.

“We are grateful for the kindness and support shown by our colleagues at Pix Brook and at Langford and we are delighted to provide these garden areas for their use.”

The new areas bring the total number of staff wellbeing gardens across BEST to four, along with Etonbury Academy and Samuel Whitbread Academy.

Work will be starting on further projects at more BEST schools over the coming months.
