Mindfulness Teaching Team

Meet our team of trained mindfulness teachers and school mindfulness leads.

BEST schools each have a mindfulness lead and many of our schools also have staff members that have trained with the Mindfulness in Schools Project, enabling them to deliver mindfulness curricula in the classroom.

Each trained teacher has completed the 8-week .b Foundations course and undertaken further teacher-training.

I have started to appreciate being 'in the moment'. It struck me that, perhaps because schools run on a timetable, we are always looking ahead to the weekend, to the next holiday, to the summer. That's not the way I want to live. I wanted to appreciate the 'now' much more and as a result of the programme, I do. For example, I am now much more present in meetings, I sit back a little and really listen to others, I appreciate others points of view.

It’s not about 'emptying your mind' or sitting in silence for hours; it’s about gaining a practical, high-performance tool for modern life. Most people will say taking any course will add to workload, but this course changes how you handle your entire workload.
